For companies preparing for investment or acquisition, the scrutiny around AI is increasingly rigorous. Technical Due Diligence now almost always includes questions about AI usage, model provenance and data governance. Investors are alert to both the upside and the risk. A CPTO who can articulate not only the architecture and performance of AI systems, but also the safeguards and governance frameworks in place, will be instrumental in building confidence. Likewise, in an exit-readiness context, a responsible approach to AI adoption can bolster valuation and signal maturity.
